Recruiting Reading For All. Anytime. Anywhere.
From the Editor
There's a lot of speculation of how the new Trump Administration will impact the economy, recruiting, and hiring, and this week I've included some articles below that tackle that. Many economists agree that inflation will be stubborn, unemployment will tick up but remain relatively low, hiring will remain constant, and they estimate the chance of a recession in the next 12 months at 22%, the lowest in three years. So, there you go.
This week’s newsletter also features a piece by Jennifer Tardy titled Is the Resume Dead? What’s Next in Job Applications -- always an ongoing conversation. I share 12 Key Takeaways from the 2024 Candidate Experience Benchmark Research from over 230,000 candidate responses. And SourceCon editor Jim Stroud shares The Sourcing Role is not Dead. Its evolving… again.
There are also lots of recruiting and hiring news links below as well, plus current research, free webinars to register for, and our upcoming ERE Recruiting Innovation Summit (early bird savings through January 31).
Remember that the ERE Recruiting, SourceCon, CandE, and TLNT newsletters are now merged into one and will bring you all the latest news and insights on sourcing, recruiting, hiring, and the candidate experience.
Let me know if you’ve got any news to share. Thank you for reading!
