Recruiting Reading For All. Anytime. Anywhere.
From the Editor
It can’t be all that bad, can it? I mean, February’s U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported last Friday was softer than expected, rising by 151,000 and the unemployment rate changed little at 4.1 percent. Employment trended up in health care, financial activities, transportation and warehousing, and social assistance. Federal government employment declined.
Maybe that last one’s an understatement. And oh, please refrain from checking your 401K and other retirement accounts, for now at least.
But hey, Jake Zerbe turns lemons into lemonade this week with Lean into Change: Tailoring your sourcing strategy to focus on available GOV talent.
Jim Stroud shares recommendations on adapting to AI in the workforce with Will AI Cut Your Pay? How Automation is Reshaping Recruitment Salaries.
Raghav Singh writes about Rethinking the ADA and how employers should provide hiring managers with specific recommendations and guidance on how to engage with disabled individuals.
I write about the meaningful meh and the fact that even though candidate resentment rates are higher than ever, most candidates are still potentially willing to refer others and engage the employer again. Yep, it’s true.
This week’s newsletter also includes even more new recruiting and sourcing articles, a new candidate experience case study, a new batch of recruiting and hiring news links, free webinars to register for, and a new discount code below (good through March 30th) for our upcoming ERE Recruiting Innovation Summit April 29-30.
Let me know if you’ve got any news to share. Thank you for reading!
